Job Overview

We are seeking hardworking and reliable Labourer to join our team. You will play a key role in installing, maintaining, and repairing highway safety systems and fencing. This role involves working outdoors in a physically demanding environment, often in varying weather conditions. The ability to work as part of a team and adhere to strict safety standards is essential.

Key Responsibilities

• Installation and maintenance of Vehicle Restraint Systems (VRS), Temporary Vehicle Restraint Systems (TVRS), parapets, and general fencing on highways and private sites.

• Working under the Lead Installer, dismantling and installing systems, keeping a clean and tidy site/compound, loading and unloading of materials.

• Ensuring all work is completed safely and efficiently, following site safety regulations and company procedures.

• Operating power tools and plant machinery (training provided where necessary).

• Assisting in emergency response situations, including urgent repairs to damaged barriers or fencing.

• Working collaboratively with supervisors, lead installers, and fellow operatives to complete projects to a high standard.

• Maintaining a clean and organised working environment.

Requirements

• Previous experience in construction, highways, fencing, or related industries is preferred but not essential.

• CSCS/FISS card (essential) – training can be provided for the right candidate.

• Full UK driving licence (essential, HGV/LGV licence advantageous).

• Health & Safety awareness, with an understanding of risk assessments and site safety procedures.

• Ability to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends when required.

• Physically fit and comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions.

• Willingness to travel and stay away as projects may require work across the UK.

• Strong team player with a proactive and professional attitude.
